Park Ji-hyun kicked off his national tour with a commanding Seoul run, delivering a 150-minute performance that unfolded like a fully realized stage narrative.
Held from April 10 to 12 at Olympic Hall in Seoul’s Olympic Park, “2026 Park Ji-hyun Concert Showmanship Season 2” ran for three shows, each packed with tightly structured performances and dynamic transitions.
The opening set the tone immediately. Emerging to “We Can Do It,” Park Ji-hyun incorporated a Michael Jackson-inspired performance, capturing attention from the first moment. He followed with upbeat tracks including “I Am Me,” “Sea Man,” and “Melting Away,” quickly raising the energy in the venue.
The mood soon shifted. With “Aegan-jang” and “Prayer,” he leaned into emotional depth, showcasing a more refined vocal tone. A talk segment with the audience further grounded the performance, creating a closer connection.
The production stood out for its detail. “Galmu-ri” introduced a street bar concept, seamlessly transitioning into “Night Fog,” while “Swing Baby” added musical-style elements and theatrical acting to maintain narrative flow.
A highlight came with the “Manmul Truck” stage, featuring a full truck set and megaphone-driven interaction. The traditional Korean medley, performed in hanbok-inspired attire, became a defining moment. Songs such as “Hanobaeknyeon,” “Gangwon-do Arirang,” “Sseurirang,” “Mangbuseok,” and “Motnan Nom” blended heritage with modern staging.
Park Ji-hyun continued to expand his musical range with selections like “Mu,” “When You Smile,” and “Binari,” moving freely across genres. A VCR segment parodying the film “Friend” added humor and variety to the show.
Emotional moments followed. “A Beautiful Life Story” incorporated family imagery, creating a lasting resonance, while the “Nightclub Medley” brought a vibrant, celebratory atmosphere with a mirror ball-lit stage.
Closing the main set with “The One I Cannot Leave,” Park Ji-hyun returned for an encore performance of “Hwanhee” amid strong audience demand. After introducing his band members, he wrapped up the night with “Now” and “Invitation,” the latter enhanced by handwritten messages that deepened fan connection.
Park Ji-hyun expressed heartfelt gratitude in his final remarks, with an extended ending sequence leaving a lasting impression.
Rising to prominence as the runner-up on “Mr. Trot 2,” Park Ji-hyun has continued to build his presence through variety shows and music releases, including his mini album “OCEAN” and first full-length album “MASTER VOICE.”
Following the successful Seoul shows, he will continue his nationwide tour across major cities including Daegu, Gwangju, Incheon, Jeonju, Goyang, Busan, and Seongnam.
